The Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia in Songkhla had participated in The 2nd Southern Regional Cultural Festival opening ceremony held by the Ministry of Culture of Thailand and the Provincial Government of Pattani. The festival itself will be held on 3-7 June 2009. The event was attended by Vice Consul of Information, Social and Cultural Affairr from the Consulate.

Two dancers from Indonesian Consulate, Mr. Sudarto and his wife Tatiek performed Bambangan Cakil dance for the opening and as for the Indonesian stage, the other dancers performed Kalang Bulan, Teruna Jaya, Puspan Jali, Kebyar Duduk from Bali and Payung dance from Padang.
